is an award-winning playwright, director, Broadway/TV/film actor and screenwriter. He taught acting, directing, playwriting and theatre history at Sarah Lawrence College for 24 years. He is an Obie award recipient and an honoree at Pan Asian Rep’s 42nd Benefit’s Art & Action Salutes.
His plays include Kwatz! The Tibetan Project, Cambodia Agonistes, Eat a Bowl of Tea, An American Story, Leir Rex, Dojoji: the Man Inside the Bell, Papa Boy, and Nightstalker.
Last seen in The Oldest Boy at Lincoln Center. Major roles include Broadway’s Pacific Overtures, Loose Ends, Zoya's Apartment, Shimada and The King and I (US National Tour).
